I feel so comfortable at this practice! I met Dr. Edwards at a rescue event earlier this year and explained my dog’s situation at our old vet. She talked about how she wanted the animals she worked with to be comfortable coming in and all of the ways we could support that. At our first appointment, the vet tech and Dr. Edwards sat on the floor and fed my dog treats. They got to know her and made her feel safe before continuing the exam. This was such a huge change from the vets who put a muzzle on my 14 pound, never bit anyone in her life, super submissive dog as they man handle her throughout an exam. I love Dr. Edward’s approach to healing (if she’s not in pain, and showing no signs of the leg bothering her every day activity, let’s leave surgery out of the equation) and want to make all people/animals in the room comfortable. She even invited me to bring my dog by to have her feed her some treats again to make sure she’s more comfortable in the space and with her the next time we visit! I’m so happy with the decision to switch to this practice.
