So psyched that I decided to try this place just off of 270. I've tried the pulled pork shoulder, the dry rub ribs, and the gumbo. All were fantastic. The corn bread they add in is amazing. The only thing that disappointed were the fries. Avoid them especially if you're getting takeout. The mac and cheese and the southern greens are great. Definitely a place I'll keep in mind any time I'm driving back home or if I'm ever in the neighborhood.
A go to BBQ place. Super casual atmosphere, full bar, weekday specials and great food. I've never been here when it wasn't busy with customers, and people are really particular about their BBQ, so that says something. The gumbo is delicious, and a favorite of mine because traditionally gumbo has seafood in it so I can't eat it, but not this one, chicken and sausage make for a delicious combo. The chopped pork is always good, their brisket is tender and smokey. If you are in the mood for a spicy adult beverage, the jalapeno margarita is delicious, but only around in the summer months.
