Food is always great and literally the only redeeming quality about it. If you are not explicitly Desi/ Southeast Asian (and especially if you're black) you might as well be invisible.
I've been coming here for about 2 years now and 90% the time the service that we have received has been VERY obviously different from that given to SE Asian patrons.
The latest and last time we visited, I was told I would not be able to order off the menu and HAD to get something from the buffet. After we insisted on ordering from the menu, I was charged for a buffet, which was $5 more than the single entree I had ordered. The final straw was the 'waiter' rushing over to check the bill to see how much we'd tipped and, upon seeing 'cash' written, awkwardly fidgeting and hovering around, literally NOT leaving the table until he had the cash in hand.
Also they usually only have chana as the lone vegetarian/ vegan option during the buffet and do not allow you to order from the restaurant menu during the buffet (which is about $15 on the weekend).
